LSU Game Breaks Sales Records
Over $24,500 in sales for the LSU! Just incredible! Of course, those that worked so hard can certainly believe it since it was so busy. A special thank you goes out to the seven members of the Track Team who worked the game. Because of the staffing, we were able to have a record breaking day. Thank you all!
Tennessee Game
The Tennesse game turned out good. It was VERY busy, so it was great we ended up fully staffed. Thank you greatly to those who worked! Sales were almost $18,500 for this game.
Vandy Game
A huge thank you goes to all the workers for the Vandy game! We were quite a few workers short at the last minute (8 short): however, the workers we had performed double duty. The group pulled together and got the job done! Sales were average for this game, right at $16,000. Not too bad - it was a good day's work.
Arkansas Game Update
We had an amazing day for the Arkansas game. At the last minute several additional workers came through which was awesome since we had the busiest day we have ever had. We had record sales of over $22,000! Everyone was hopping all day. It was a great group of workers who again pitched in and did whatever needed to be done. Thanks guys!!
North Texas Game
For North Texas we had 30 workers which is what we consider fully staffed. What a great group it was! The inventory and stand set-up was completed in record time. Sales were right under $16,000 which is good considering the start time of the game and we sold out of Stadium Cups, one of our most popular items. Thanks to a wonderful group that did a fantastic job!
Kent State Game
Thank you greatly to all who worked the Kent State game. We ended up with 28 workers. It was a very busy game with LOTS of drinks and water sold. We had one of our largest sales days ever with right under $19,000 in sales. Beverages accounted for over $11,000 of the sales.
U of A Football Concessions Overview
After receiving feedback from you, it was decided to continue with U of A Football game concession stand fundraiser. Katherine Nichols, Mark Scogin and Gaynor Scogin met with Centerplate representatives this summer. Many past issues were discussed and assurances given by Centerplate. We feel confident the coming season will have much better communication and results!
Our next step is to continue to have people sign-up for games. We have had a good start! Please fill out the form below to sign-up to work games.
Thank you all for your commitment!
What is this exactly?
Northridge Soccer is responsible for providing manpower to run one of the largest concessions stands at Bryant -Denny Stadium during U of A home football games. The 'product' is provided by the vendor. We are responsible for inventorying, cooking, preparing, selling, cleaning, etc for the stand. For this, we will receive 10% of the sales before accounting for sale taxes. This is an increase from last year's % of 9%.
What does the commitment involve?
The day of the game workers have to report 4 hours before game time in order to check-in, inventory the product that we will be selling, set-up the stand and prepare the food. Each worker is assigned a duty such as cashier, cook, food preparation, etc. After the game is over, workers are asked to stay and help take ending inventory and to clean the stand.
How many games is the commitment?
The Booster Club requests that each player be responsible for 5 worker slots. Coach Hill has set a minimum of at least 2 worker slots. Link to Coach Hill's letter .
Of course, players and parents can work more! It is a great way to pay all your fees!
How are the funds raised assigned out to players?
When the total amount raised is determined, then we divide that total by the total number of workers for all games to determine how much ‘credit’ a player will receive for each ‘slot’ he/she was responsible for.
If a player fulfilled his/her 5 ‘slot’ commitments and the credit per ‘slot’ was $50.00, then the player would receive $250.00 credit toward their Soccer fees. Thus, the more you work, the more credit toward fees you are given.
Are there any other advantages to working these games?
Yes! The players and parents really get to know each other and bond during the experience. It is fun to see how leaders emerge. Players get the experience of having to work together to accomplish a goal in a fast pace environment.
Do you get to watch the game?
No. We are really too busy to even look at the TV monitor that is right outside our stand. We do have a good view of "The Walk of Champions". Sometimes we get to enjoy that view.
Any questions?
